What was your biggest fear before hiring Boudoir Elk Grove? Did it come true, and if not, what happened instead?

My biggest fear was showing all the imperfections and flaws through the camera, but it’s not how it all turned out. The finished photos were AMAZING!

What, specifically, was your favorite part of your experience, and why?

The entire experience was very liberating. It allows you to look deep within yourself and trust that you are amazing just as you are. The experience as a whole was great from shopping, figuring out what I want to do and wear, and then coming into the studio and bringing it all to life. I hope to look at these photos one day when I’m 80 years old and think WOW that was me. But actually, I received that gift sooner than I expected, because I look at them now and think that. In fact, I am now doing my second session and look forward to doing something different.

What advice would you give to someone considering booking a session with Boudoir Elk Grove?

Don’t wait. Do it now. The longer you wait, the more you will regret that you didn’t do it sooner. It’s a personal gift to one self. It’s a magical experience!!

What responses did you get from your Beloved/friends/family about your images?

The response was unbelievable, everyone I showed the photos to LOVED them. 

What types of negative things (if any) did you tell yourself before your session with Boudoir Elk Grove (ie I don’t look like a model, I should lose x lbs, I have stretch marks, too old, etc.)?

I’m almost 50 and worried about every last flaw. I had a c-section and my stomach is not photographable.

What did your experience do to silence those doubts?

The photographer helped silence those doubts. Jillian made me feel so comfortable with the entire experience, including myself.

What did you take away from your experience at Boudoir Elk Grove that surprised you the most?

I was surprised how much I loved the process. It’s almost like a high or rush.
