What was your biggest fear before hiring Auburn Boudoir Photography? Did it come true, and if not, what happened instead?
I was terrified that no matter how it went I would hate my pictures. There is no one that could work this kind of magic. But I was pleasantly surprised that I had a hard time finding any I wanted to get rid of. This was quite the shocker as my confidence in myself is not the best. But they were beautiful and it was so cathartic to see myself through Jillian’s eyes at auburn boudoir photography.
What, specifically, was your favorite part of your experience, and why?
My favorite part was really all of it. From the pampering, to the beauty of feeling so brave, to the end product of amazing photos. I’ve been married for 20 years and my husband hasn’t seen me like that for a long time. It was as thrilling for me as it was for him in the end. I didn’t expect that.
What advice would you give to someone considering booking a session with Auburn Boudoir Photography?
Don’t hesitate. Jillian is amazing, creative and genuinely cares about making you feel safe, secure and confident. She has an eye for beauty even when we don’t think it’s there.
What responses did you get from your Beloved/friends/family about your images?
I got lots of shock and awe, compliments that were so flattering I wanted to be that person in Jillian’s camera every day.
What types of negative things (if any) did you tell yourself before your session with Auburn Boudoir Photography (ie I don't look like a model, I should lose x lbs, I have stretch marks, too old, etc.)?
I have never weighed this much in my life. Not even 9 months pregnant. Why would I do something like this now?
What did your experience do to silence those doubts?
It gave me proof that the numbers on a scale aren’t my identity.
What did you take away from your experience with Auburn Boudoir Photography that surprised you the most?
That I loved all of the photos. If I was the subject of those photos maybe I should give myself more self love each day.
