So if you’re thinking of a way to make your everyday look a bit sexier, try false lashes.

TYPES OF FALSE LASHES

There are different types of false eyelashes so you might want to take note of the differences before you go shopping. These different types of false lashes give you a different kind of look or effect on your eyes. This might also depend on the size and shape of your eyes.

So if you’re planning to create a certain look, make sure to read these carefully so as not to make a mistake on which one to choose:

Spikes

Spike lashes provide more length to your lashes and give you that spiked and wide-eyed look. This gives you that cute, doll-like, retro look.

Dense/Full Lashes

If you like a bit of wispy look, you can try dense or full lashes. It gives off that striking effect giving your lashes full volume.

Criss-crosses

Opt to look glam in a natural way with criss-cross lashes. It gives you that wide-eyed effect but not as wide as spike lashes give.

Natural/Sparse Lashes

As the name says, natural lashes just give you a simple and natural look. It only gives your lashes a more full volume.

Angles/Sweeps

This type of false lashes give you a cat-eye effect. It looks wispy with long, winged corners. This is often paired with either criss-cross, spikes, or dense so you can get two kinds of looks.

Wisps

Wisp lashes look longer and are a little heavy but they give you a really glamorous appearance. This often gives you a more flirty or a more dramatic look.

HOW TO APPLY FALSE EYELASHES:

Now, applying false eyelashes (as said earlier) may be a little tricky. Constant practice is encouraged so that you can finally master how to put it on.

Here are some tips, tricks, and easy-to-follow steps on how to apply false lashes especially for beginners:

  1. You can apply your eye make-up as you normally do but don’t apply mascara or curl your lashes.
  2. Eyeliner is very much necessary in applying false lashes because they help break the game between your natural lash line and your false lash line. Apply your eyeliner in such a way that it will sort of fill the gap in between. woman at boudoir shoot looking down with fake eye lashes
  3. Choose the perfect type of lashes according to your eyes’ shape and to the look that you want to have.
  4. You can also opt to trim your lashes if it seems too long for you. To trim it, place the lash along your natural lash line and mark with your finger where you need to cut the lashes. You can cut it with scissors.
  5. Apply adhesives to your lashes. You can either apply it to the full length of the base or use a brush to place dots of adhesives along your own natural line and press the false lash onto it. Let the adhesive get tacky before applying. Glue that is too wet will pose a problem.
  6. Carefully apply your false eyelashes as close as possible to your natural lash line but not ON your natural lash line.
  7. In applying the false lash, you can use a tweezer to hold the lash at the center then place it near your natural lash line. Then, with the use of the teezer, you can push the inner strip of the lash then all throughout the outside part of the lash line.
  8. As said, your eyeliner can simply fill the gap between those two. Wait for 30 to 60 seconds to let the glue hold it in place.
  9. Once you’re sure that the glue is fully dry, you can now apply mascara. When applying the mascara, you can do it like you usually do but a little more slowly and carefully. You can start working from the base of your natural lashes upward.
  10. Should you think it is needed, redo your eyeliner to fill the gap between your natural and false lashes.
